You can import contacts with more than one value for a custom contact field (e.g., if you've collected information using a multi-select field). Before importing, you will need to edit the field values in your CSV file.
- In your CSV file, locate the cell with multiple values for the field you wish to import for your contact.
- Between each value, insert double bars. They look like this: ||
- For example, your single cell can look like this for a contact: Ice Cream||Cookies||Cake
- You do not need to add a space between the || and the value— a space will automatically appear between each value for the contact when they're imported.
- After inserting double bars, you can import the file into your ActiveCampaign account.
