This article explains how to convert your legacy list segments to comply with the updated segment experience.

When updating your segments, it is best practice to have fewer segments that you use more frequently.
About the updated segment experience
As of September 30, 2024, we updated our segment experience. With this experience, segments are no longer list-based and can be managed on the Segments Overview page.
Segments created before September 30, 2024, are saved as legacy list segments. To continue to use your legacy list segments, you need to convert them to the updated experience.

Convert your legacy list segments
- Click Contacts > Lists on the left menu.
- Click the down caret for any list, then click “Segments.”
- Click the segment you want to convert.
- Click the “Convert to Segment” button in the “List Segments” window.
- In the “Convert to Segment” modal, complete the requested fields.
- Click the “Convert” button.
The segment will be saved to the Segments Overview page.

Can I bulk delete old, unused legacy list segments?
No. However, you can "Hide Legacy List Segments" within advanced settings to archive the legacy list segments. This will also remove the “ We noticed you’re still using legacy List Segments!” banner.
To use this option:
- Convert the segments you want to keep.
- Click Settings > Advanced on the left menu.
- Scroll down to the “Legacy List Segments” section.
- Toggle ”Show/hide List segments” off.
- Click “Save Settings.”
