When you view a contact's path in an automation, you may see that they were added manually:
This happens when a contact was added to an automation through any one of the following methods:
- Admin action — meaning the contact was edited, individually or in bulk by an account user
- API — meaning via a custom or third-party built integration
- The "Start an automation" action block. This action adds contacts to an automation you specify
- The "Add to Automation" link action
It is not possible to see which method above manually added the contact to an automation.
