How to locate replies to your SMS messages

Available as an add-on for the following plans:

Marketing Plus, Professional and Enterprise

Sales Plus, Professional, and Enterprise

When a contact replies to your SMS message, we'll capture that reply and display it for you to view in your account. These replies are not actionable and it is not possible to respond to an SMS message from your contact. 

Take note

  • ActiveCampaign accounts purchased or upgraded on or after January 3, 2023 must purchase the SMS Add-on to use SMS
  • ActiveCampaign accounts purchased or upgraded before January 3, 2023:
    • Plus and Professional plans receive 25 free SMS credits per month
    • Enterprise plans receive 1,000 free SMS credits per month

View replies to your SMS messages

The Automation Reports page will display all SMS reply activities from your contacts.

To get to the Automation Reports page:

  1. Click "Reports" on the left menu.
  2. Click "Automation Reports" > "All Automations."

Or

  1. Click "Automations" on the left menu.
  2. Click "All Automations."

To view the replies from your contacts:

  1. Locate the automation containing your SMS block. Click the ellipsis for that automation.
  2. A modal window will open. Click the "Automation Overview" option.
  3. The Automation Overview report will load. Scroll down the page until you get to the "SMS Message" table.
  4. Click on the SMS message for which you would like to view replies.
  5. A modal window will open. Click the "SMS Replies" option.

The SMS Replies report page will load and display replies from your contacts.
