When should I use multiple lists?

Lists are the primary way to broadly group contacts based on interest or messaging type (newsletter, announcements, alerts). In ActiveCampaign, you have the flexibility to create as many lists as you like. When deciding if you should have a single list or multiple lists, it’s best to review the type of messaging your company will send. For example, if you have customers that are interested in shoes and others that are interested in hats, you may want to consider having two lists: one for shoes and one for hats. Or if you are sending out company updates and system alerts, you may want to consider having a list for company updates and another for system alerts.
